Who i am
Hello everyone!
My name is Roberto Saitta
(The Good Roberto)
I'm a local hiking guide, with years of experience leading nature and adventure enthusiasts in discovering Mount Etna with immersive, hands-on and experiencial guided tours and trekking.
The Mount Etna Nature park, UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most important place of interest in Sicily and a true treasure for humanity.
Inside, you can find an extraordinary variety of landscapes shaped by volcanic activity and a wide range of ecosystems. Additionally, the park preserves traces of ancient human structures that take us back in time to the Sicily of the past.
My activities take place entirely on foot, without the use of cable cars or jeeps, allowing you to experience the volcano in a more natural and immersive way.

Like in a museum, you will be guided to discover the main places of interest on the volcano.
Craters formed by different volcano eruptions over the time, immense lava desert created by lava flows, finally the ecosystems and the typical Mt.Etna mountain rural landscapes.
The chosen itineraries can be followed by anyone, even without in-depth knowledge of the area; however the presence of a local guide who knows and talks about the places certainly enriches the experience.

You will be guided to discover the famous "Valle del Bove", one of the most evocative panoramic points on the hight altitude of Mt.Etna, and you will enjoy the beauty of summit craters.
The chosen itineraries can sometimes be traveled independently but require knowledge of the area, orientation skills and excellent psycho-physical condition; so the presence of a local guide who knows and talks about the places certainly enriches the experience and makes the experience safer.
